I frequently give talks to companies, business groups, and civic organizations on digital security and privacy issues.

  • Ransomware myths, facts, and mitigation strategies for small and mid-size businesses

Q: How much time will you need for your presentation?
A: Typically at least 25 minutes for most presentation topics. If it's an open discussion or workshop format, at least an hour would be ideal.

We typically have 5-10 minutes of Q&A for smaller audiences (fewer than 50 people). For larger audiences, I've found it's best to ask members to submit questions to a moderator in advance.

If the meeting adjourns or breaks immediately after my talk, I can take questions privately instead of having an open Q&A at the conclusion, if you prefer.

Q: Do you need audio/video?
A: I'll have my own laptop and cables/adapters to connect to your projector or TV. If you don't have a projector, please let me know in advance so I can bring one or work around it. I don't need audio at all. Wi-Fi is nice to have but not essential.

Q: Will you have handouts?
A: For most topics, yes. I will also follow-up with an email with links to resources we discussed at the event, which you can distribute to your guests.
